For over 30 years the coach and trainer of the chikwang have been teach fitness and health to their fighters, and each trainer use a varity of programs for each of his/her student, but all have a core program, which they use for all fighter.
These are the base program the trainer know will work for anyone- any time- ever time- no matter what. They have years of watching them work, have tune them to work, have some fail and some work better then other, The coachs and Trainer can not use (BS0 it would do their fighter no good.
I am 60 years old this March, had my last ring fight a little ove 3 years ago (broke my hand) and my over all record at that time was 365 wins with only 9 losses. 6 foot 3 in. 250 pounds and good looking. I have been teaching for well over 30 years my self. I find that most younger man can not stand my daily work out : up at 4-430 each, dress to run,--- 3 to 5 miles -- bath ---- eat --- work --- of to the gym -- lift(heavy) no sissy stuff --- jump rope 15 to20 minutes work the ring, some time up to 20 rounds, home -- bath --- eat --- read -- learn --- meditation --- train the kids --- eat--- sleep.
at 54 the wife told me we were having a baby ( the hell you say) baby is now 6 and she know how to eat and what not to eat, she talk diet and work out as well as I do. tyhe wife hate me for this. I use to take baby to the park and have her run , at the age of 3. To here her talk, you would know she is daddy little girl. she can give you a world of know how on fitness and health.
At the Chikwang we teach kids from the age of 4 and up, they learn just what we have learn, no pulling back. when you talk to one of our student about the subject of Fitness or Health you are talking to us.
